Jacob Gallagher has found himself in an awkward situation as he has fallen for history teacher Maya Stepney in Emmerdale. And not only is she the underage schoolboys educator but she is also the girlfriend of his dad David Metcalfe – but as she picks up on the teenagers turmoil, what action will she take?
As Jacobs jealousy over Maya and Davids relationship continued to grow, he deliberately outshone David in the birthday present stakes but then made it clear to Maya that his feelings ran far deeper than they should.
Determined to then make Maya jealous in return, Jacob made it clear that he was in a relationship with Liv Flaherty and tried to prove he is grown up by claiming that they are sleeping together. In scenes to come, Maya overhears Jacob making plans to go on a date with Liv but he snaps at his dad when he tries to give him relationship advice.

David is bewildered over what is causing Jacob to lash out but Maya knows and she urges the youngster not to take things out on David. But as they talk about Jacobs growing feelings, is Maya doing the right thing by keeping things hidden from David? And as she spends time alone with Jacob, is she giving him false hope? Or could she be set to take action that she will regret?
Jacob heads out on his date with Liv and Maya has a decision to make. But what path will she take?
