Mark Ruffalo has clapped back at his bosses, the Russo Brothers, as he claimed their Avengers 4 spoiler was way worse than his own.
If youll cast your mind back a couple weeks, Mark was sensationally fired (read: falsely) after he revealed what the final title is for the yet-to-be-released fourth Avengers instalment.
While it was of course incredibly tongue-in-cheek, the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe, noticed and sounded off over social media that he was sacked from the next film.
Now Mark is fighting back, but, unfortunately, the directors arent letting up, as they told him tonight he was still fired.
After they shared an image from the set, letting fans of the franchise know they had wrapped filming the final instalment in this phase, Mark quickly retorted.
This … and you fired me for a measly slip of the title? Spoiler alert!, he wrote to his 4.11million followers.
Youre still fired, Mark.

But the Russos werent having it as they replied: Youre still fired, Mark.

Fans thought theyd weigh on the situation with their two cents. Which is always welcome, in our books.
One wrote a hilarious riff on the title war: Avengers: Mark Is Fired.
Another said: So uh,,, isnt him being fired,, Also a spoiler….
A third added: Im done trying to figure out what this shit means, just drop the trailer already, or at least the title.
It all started when Mark teased he would share the title of the film during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Ahead of the show airing, Mark tweeted: @JimmyFallon, I trust that you will cut my spoiler slip on the show tonight.
That was “off the record” homey. Please dont get me in trouble with Marvel (Barry) again. DM me back. M.
Alas, Jimmy responded: Dude, its too late – already sent the final show to Burbank for air. Are you sure youre gonna be in trouble? We could maybe bleep it out. What is “DM”?
And after seeing this convo, the Russo Brothers chimed in with their immortal words: Mark, youre fired.
Not that anything actually made it to air that spoiled anything – this is a well-oiled machine, after all.

The back and forth continued after Mark pleaded with his bosses to talk about this – and, well, it seems this conversation still hasnt happened.

Good thing Mark still appeared to have filmed his scenes as Bruce Banner/ The Hulk…seeing as the brothers announced filming is done.
Phew! That was suuuuuch a close call.
Avengers 4 will be released 26 April, 2019 and well sleep easy 27 April, 2019.
