Coronation Street spoilers: Blackpool episodes see Roy Cropper and Mary Taylor learn Jude Appletons fate

Roy Cropper is returning to Blackpool – a city with a special place in his heart – to try and help Mary Taylor track down her missing son Jude Appleton.
Coronation Street regularly sends their characters to Blackpool – previous storylines have included Roy and Hayley spending a special day together ahead of her death, Tyrone Dobbs popping the question to Maria and Jenny Bradley rushing to save Jack Webster from an oncoming tram.

And, of course, who can forget the iconic moment that Alan Bradley was killed by a tram as he gave chase to Rita?
Judging from these pictures, this latest visit isnt set to be anywhere near as high octane but its sure to bring back some emotional memories for Roy, who basically said goodbye to his soulmate in this location.

And Mary is facing the prospect of having to say goodbye to someone she loves too as her hopes of finding Jude wane.

Jude went missing after his compulsive lying was finally exposed to his disgusted wife Angie and she called time on their marriage once and for all. Jude snapped and tried to take George away but Roy stopped him, causing him to board a tram out of Weatherfield alone.

Since then, Mary has heard nothing from Jude and when she sets up a campaign to track him down she gets a lead. But she is then left terrified when she and Angie are forced to identify a body that police think may be Jude.

Thankfully, it turns out to be someone else and Marys search goes on. A lead takes her and Roy Blackpool and Roy supports his friend as they go in search of Jude. But will Mary get the closure she needs or is she onto a loser?
Paddy Wallace recently confirmed that he had indeed left the soap but there would be further scenes involving Jude which would bring the storyline to a final close.

Is Mary going to be able to build bridges with her son? Or is he lost to her forever?
David Neilson and Patti Clare were seen braving the chilly coastal weather as they worked on the location scenes and they were all smiles in between takes.

David has spent a lot of time on location recently as pictures also showed Roy trying to hunt down Evelyn Plummers lost dog Cerberus before the pair of them are then apprehended by police who think they are dogging!

Lets hope that well meaning Roy doesnt get into a scrape like that in Blackpool…
Coronation Street will air these scenes next year.
