Paddy Kirk will continue to feel the raw grief of his and Chas Dingles devastating loss in Emmerdale as he attempts to return to work. The couple have been shattered by the loss of their newborn baby daughter Grace and they faced a traumatic day as her funeral took place and they were forced to say difficult goodbyes.
Paddy and Chas have both tried to remain strong but are dealing with their immense torment in different ways and as Paddy tries to focus on returning to the surgery, Chas worries that he is not coping as he is not sharing his emotions.
Paddy is stoic as he tries to get on with life but the inner turmoil brewing within him is evident to Chas and Marlon who try to reach out to him and encourage him to let some of his feelings out instead of bottling it all up.

As they try to talk him out of going back to work as its so soon, Paddy presses ahead but he soon becomes overwhelmed.
Stood in the middle of Davids shop, he breaks down in tears as the impact of the tragedy hits him like a cannonball to the chest. As he dissolves, will he find a way to deal with the pain he has been storing away?
