Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee dies aged 95
Marvel Comics boss Stan Lee has died aged 95.
The Marvel Comics co-creator passed away on Monday after he was reportedly rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; Lees daughter JC confirmed the news to TMZ.
My father loved all of his fans. He was the greatest, most decent man, she said.
Lee had battled several illnesses over the last year or so including pneumonia and vision issues.
Stan is credited along with his former creative partner Jack Kirby with helping to give birth to the modern comic book scene.
Lee scripted, art-directed and edited most of Marvels series throughout the 1960s, and often featured topical storylines that addressed current issues such as elections, and the Vietnam War.

He stopped writing comics in 1972 to assume the role of publisher releasing his final issues of The Amazing Spider-Man and Fantastic Four.
Having created nearly all of Marvels most famous superheroes Stan has long been included in the movie adaptations of his comics, and has been given bit parts in both Foxs films and those of the Disney Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a blockbuster triumph since Iron Man in 2008, and has seen a plethora of A-list stars bring Marvels heroes to life including Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chadwick Boseman, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans.
The comic-book writer has made cameo appearances in every MCU film to date.
Lees wife Joan died in July last year aged 93 after reportedly suffering a stroke.
The former hat model married Stan on 5 December, 1947 and the two were married for 69 years. The pair met when Stan was supposed to take her friend on a blind date.
Stan had credited his wife with supporting him in his early career when he was trying to create superheroes that he and others could care about.
The Marvel legend was inducted into the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in July 2017, and paid tribute to his late wife.

Ive been the luckiest man in the world because Ive had friends and to have the right friends is everything. Ive been lucky to have a wonderful wife, he added before taking an emotional pause which was met by cheers from the crowd.
Lee then finished his speech with a simple word: Excelsior!
The couple have two children together – Joan Celia (J.C) and Jan, who passed away three days after her birth.
