Aston Merrygold wrote a song for BTS album and you may have loved it this whole time
Yep, Aston Merrygold is a member of the BTS Army.
Not only is the former JLS star a huge fan of the K-pop boy band, but he has actually written a song for the group.
And you could have been bopping along to it this whole time.
Aston, 30, reveals he wrote a song called Bounce for one of BTS last albums – either Love Yourself: Tear and Face Yourself and, quite frankly, we had no idea.
It doesnt appear that the song made it on the album as its not listed – the name could have changed – but Aston was thrilled the boy band loved the track enough consider putting it on the album.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk at a Clearblue event on Thursday, the pop star revealed: It was already written and in my pile of songs that I was looking at but the publishers were also looking through that and said, “Are you happy for me to play these songs?”

According to Aston, the song was translated meaning he had to split the pie four ways in regards to the royalties.
Explaining how Bounce ended up in BTS lap, Aston explained: Its just one of those things as good as it is, its the same thing if I ever do a song written by someone.
Unless you know them thats when you probably see them and talk to them unless its someone in your team whos gone out to find the song, planning the research. It could just come through a really weird avenue like that one came from, they heard the song and my publishers.
With bands like JLS and One Direction taking an indefinite rest, the way has been paved for BTS to conquer the world.
Offering some friendly advice for the k-pop stars, Aston said: Its a new world so you just have to enjoy it. Times are different and even if you look at the path [JLS] took on The X Factor, when we did the show we were locked up in the house and nobody could even really get a picture of us.
It was just kind of held back whereas fast forward a few years in the One Direction era, that was the time social media launched. Now, its a whole new level of social media so its just a different world.

The singer continued: The only thing I can say is just you have to enjoy it them times when youre on the tour bus or in the hotel room and you can just sit there and go, “Phew”, and actually think, “Oh, Ive actually just performed in front of 20-30,000 people”, appreciate it and that youve done it.

Because it will actually end at some point. Itll come to an end so just relive those moments as much as you can.
Aston was known for showing off his famous backflips while performing with JLS and he admits that BTS slick choreography could give him a run for his money.
He told us: Listen those K-pop bands… its militant. I would love to see it more over here because… dare I say [JLS] were the only commercial ones out there dancing. Everyone else was like, “I dont really dance” but its part and parcel.
