Residents of the Bogan Shire are invited to stop for a minutes silence on Sunday to remember those affected by the First World War.
President of the Nyngan RSL Sub Branch Derek Francis is encouraging members of the community to come along to this years Remembrance Day ceremony on November 11 outside the councils cenotaph to pay respects to fallen, returning and serving soldiers.
“This year is a little bit special because it marks 100 years since the end of the first world war,” Mr Francis said.

“We had a special ceremony at the beginning of the 100 years commemoration, and this marks the end of the 100 years commemoration.”
“Were hoping as many community people as possible can come,” he said.
To mark the occasion a red flowering gum tree will be planted at Heritage park.
While it wont be planted on the day it will be on display at the ceremony.
Mr Francis said the sub branch, along with the Department of Veteran Affairs, are encouraging people who are unable to attend the ceremony to pause at 11am to reflect on the significance the occasion has for all Australians.

- 10.40am – Prayer by Father Graham
- 10.45am – Ray Donald will read Peter Sinclairs address
- 11.00am – Minute silence and last post
- 11.05am – Reading the list of soldiers killed in World War One
- 11.10am – Reading of a poem
- 11.15am – Wreath laying
- 11.25am – Australian National Anthem
- 11.30am – Ceremony concludes
