Its a fact, people – Carly Rae Jepsen is the brightest star in pop and Cut To The Feeling is still the best song of 2018, despite being released in May 2017.

Thankfully, with just two months to go in 2018, the Canadian star has swung in and dropped a self-love banger to blast at our Christmas parties.

Carlys first single in a year and a half, Party For One, has been released, and fans of dancing, self-care and sneaky masturbation references will be delighted.

The up-tempo bop hears the 32-year-old sing: Party for one, if you dont care about me, Ill just dance by myself, back on my beat/Ill be the one, if you dont care about me, making love to myself, back on my beat.

Along with the single, a video for Party For One was also dropped on 1 November, and is basically an ode to singledom.

Various people, including Carly, get over various heartaches in hotel rooms, including one person eating spaghetti and meatballs while in a bathrub, who is our new spirit animal.

Another hotel guest, an elderly woman in naughty lingerie, inspects her collection of sex toys and edible thongs, while one girl burns a cigarette through a photograph of her ex.

After a blackout in the hotel, all the singletons meet before enjoying a rather awkward half-naked lift journey.

Carly said of her new hit: To me Party For One is an anthem of what it is to celebrate time with yourself, which is a hard thing for people to really enjoy sometimes, and its something Im learning to do more and more.

This song represents a lot of what this album is about for me which is romantic love but self-love too.

Queen of self-appreciation.
