New pictures have been released which show Ben Affleck with a 12 pack of beer on set of his upcoming film, Torrance.
The photos show him coming out of his house with a black plastic bag filled with prop beer – an image that is reminiscent of his real-life struggles earlier this year when he was pictured picking up delivery beers from his Los Angeles home.
The 46-year-old actor will play a widowed former basketball star who struggles with addiction in a role undoubtedly close to the Afflecks heart, following his own well documented struggle with alcohol.
According to IMDB, the character tries to make a comeback by becoming the coach of a disparate, ethnically mixed high school basketball team at his alma mater.

Affleck, too, has bounced back from his recent 40-day treatment for alcohol addiction.
In a social media post in early October, he thanked everyone for their support and acknowledged his addiction as a lifelong and difficult struggle.
Affleck superfans may know this is not the first time he has taken on the role of a basketball player – he previously starred in Buffy the Vampire Slayer where he took the esteemed role of Basketball Player #10 (uncredited).
