Daisy Ridley has admitted her first days on the Star Wars set were horrid.

The British actress made her major big screen debut in The Force Awakens in 2015, and has now revealed that she was left feeling sick with nerves as she joined the cast.

It was pretty horrid, the Rey actress said.

It was really scary. I felt just sick and I didnt really know anyone yet, and it takes me a really long time to settle down with people.

The 27-year-old had previously appeared in British dramas Casualty and Mr Selfridge but was essentially an unknown when JJ Abrams cast her as the major female lead in the reboot of George Lucas iconic series.
