The Margaret River Montessori School hosted their most recent Cow Pat Lotto at the Margaret River Show last weekend, where the grand prize winners took home $8,000 thanks to a local cow.
Event coordinator Andrea Massie said the popular lottery, which runs each year at the Margaret River Agricultural Show, saw a number of cows pacing a large grid on a patch of grass at the showgrounds.
Paul said the family are over the moon and they will be sharing the love and are planning a big family holiday.

The winning square – where the cow chooses to leave behind a deposit – correlates to a raffle ticket number sold within the school community. Grandparent to Montessori School students, Paul Sadlier collected the grand prize.
“Paul said the family are over the moon and they will be sharing the love and are planning a big family holiday,” said Mrs Massie.
Next year will mark ten years of the Cow Pat Lotto, which is one of the schools most important annual fundraisers.
Principal Lisa Fenton thanked the community for their support this year.
“The money raised from this event is all for the kids of MRMS, and the wider community as it will go towards our nature playscape revamp, and new megafauna habitat,” she said.
A syndicate of six people won the second prize and shared in $300, while Lilia Otadoy took home thetird prize of $100.
Mary Massie and Phylis Harper each collected six bottles of wine for fourth and fifth prizes in the lottery.
