Sound mixer for Tom Hanks new movie Mr Rogers dies after falling from balcony
The man who fell from a balcony during a break on Tom Hanks movie has died from his injuries, it has been reported.
The 65-year-old was allegedly taking a break when he collapsed and fell from a balcony. After others heard his fall and discovered him laying injured having fallen two storeys, he was immediately rushed to hospital where his condition worsened.
Its now been claimed the man, named by Associated Press as sound mixer James Emswiller, has sadly succumbed to his injuries.
Filming had been taking place in Pennsylvania and was temporarily suspended while an investigation took place.
A statement from Sony Pictures / TriStar Pictures given to Metro.co.uk said: This is a devastating tragedy and the studio is investigating the matter. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jims loved ones, friends, and colleagues.

Mt. Lebanon Chief of Police Aaron Lauth told People at the time: Basically, he appears to have suffered from a medical emergency while on the balcony. He was taking a break and smoking a cigarette when he fell.
He added: He fell from the second story of the building. Other crew members were inside the building, but not on the balcony. They noticed he wasnt there and saw him down on the ground.
A medic was on the set and when they realised he wasnt breathing, they began to perform CPR. He was transported to a trauma hospital not too far away. Theyre attempting life-saving measures now.
Its not clear if Tom Hanks was on the set at the time. The film is inspired by the real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod, played by Matthew Rhys. Its thought to have the working title You Are My Friend and is slated for an October 2019 release.
