We need to know details (Picture: Marvel/Disney/Kobal/REX/Shutterstock)

We still have eight months to go until Avengers 4 is released in cinemas – and if the Russo Brothers think well be patient about the deets, they have another thing coming.

Speculation is rife about everything from who will survive the final showdown to whether Captain Marvel will be the key.

But at the moment, Avengers fans are begging for one delicious spoilery morsel – what is the films title?

After the movies name was changed from Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2 to Avengers 4, the internet was awash with theories about what the movie may be called.

So far, Endgame has been one of the most popular suggestions.

However, the latest rumour seems pretty plausible.

The website MCU Cosmic has suggested the final film in the franchise will be called Avengers: Annihilation, citing a most reliable source.

This would make sense, considering half the universe – and half of the Avengers – was annihilated after Thanos clicked his fingers.

And that cryptic post shared by the Russo Brothers? Two As can be seen in an easel and a ladder.

More: Avengers

Annihilation was also the name of a 2006 event series which focused on the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe. This would follow the trend of the Avengers films taking their names from comic books – Age of Ultron was a comic about an alternate future ruined by Ultron, while the Infinity War comic followed up on the aftermath of the Infinity Gauntlet.

Still, we wont know the title for sure until its officially revealed – although Mark Ruffalo nearly gave the game away.

The Bruce Banner actor confessed the Avengers 4 title on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, but his outburst was censored.

Ruining all our fun.
