BTS have made UK chart history.
The boyband have become the first K-pop group to ever break the top 40 in the United Kingdom.
Their new single Idol, from their album Love Yourself: Answer, has charted at number 21 on the official chart – 21 spots higher than Fake Love, which reached number 42 in May.
The Official Charts Company confirmed the both streams and downloads of the original album version of Idol and the digital version featuring a verse from Nicki Minaj counted towards their chart position.
Idol received a whopping 2.5 million streams and 4,000 digital downloads.
The track also reached number 33 on the Offical Irish Singles Chart, and number 10 on the Scottish Singles Chart – so the ARMY in the United Kingdom and Ireland have been working hard.
This comes as Love Yourself: Answer sold over 850,000 copies in South Korea in its first week.

The chart news will be a nice birthday gift for Jungkook – in addition to the billboard the ARMY had installed on the London Underground.

RM, Jimin, V, Jin, Suga, J-Hope and Jungkook are currently on their world tour, which will be hitting the States and Canada before reaching Europe in October.
BTS will play Londons O2 Arena on 9 and 10 of October.
