Charity Dingle is set to fear the worst tonight in Emmerdale when DI Bails returns to the scene and targets her son Ryan Stocks – but is he manipulative enough to convince Ryan that Charity is lying and de-rail the rape charges he is facing?
Charity is putting a meal together to introduce Ryan to the rest of the Dingles when she gets a call from a stressed out Irene who tells her that Bails has turned up at the house. Charity races to the scene with Vanessa Woodfield by her side and demands that Bails leaves – but he insists that he is just there to speak to his son and get to know him.
Charity knows that Bails is just there for his own gain and to attempt to wriggle out of justice but Ryan decides that he wants to hear Bails out. As the pair talk, what lies will Bails fill Ryans head with – and will he believe him?

Its just a matter of weeks before Bails takes the stand and faces a judge and jury but we have already seen how malicious and sly he can be. As Charity fears his influence bringing pain to Ryan, she is left in a dilemma following the tense stand-off.
Is Bails just a step away from evading a comeuppance? Or will Charity and Ryan put on a united front and pledge to see him in court?
