The UK ARMY are just as dedicated as their international counterparts when it comes to supporting BTS.

And it looks like their hard work is paying off.

BTS are on track to achieve their first ever UK Top 40 single with Idol, after making it to number 13 in the midweek charts, according to the Official Charts Company.

Boosted no doubt by record-breaking YouTube figures – making the Idol the most watched music video in 24 hours – and a featured verse from Nicki Minaj on the digital single, Idol could find itself in the UK top 20, or even the top 10, for the first time ever.

Their new album Love Yourself: Answer is also set for a top 10 chart debut, and is sitting in the tenth spot in the midweek charts.

BTS arent the only Korean export circling the UK charts, though – the viral hit Baby Shark, from the Korean YouTube cartoon Pinkfong, is at number 29 in the charts, despite first taking off in 2014.

Idol and Love Yourself: Answer are expected to perform well in the States, too, after the bands last album Love Yourself: Tear became the first album by a Korean act to hit number one on the Billboard Top 200.

RM, Jimin, Jin, V, Jungkook, Suga and J-Hope have begun their world tour, which kicked off in Seoul to huge fanfare.

The tour will reach the UK on 9 and 10 October, when the Fake Love singers will perform to a sell-out crowd at Londons O2 Arena.
