WHEN the rain started falling across the weekend, the regions drought-affected farmers celebrated in many ways, but none were as cheeky as Dubbo farmer Glen Bloink.
Dubbo has received well below average rainfall so far during 2018, by this time of year an average of 395.1 millimetres has usually been received, but so far this year just 106.4m has fallen.
So, when the rain started falling across Mr Bloinks 975 acre sheep, cattle and cereal crop property just outside Dubbo, it was great cause for celebration.

While his partner Min Coleman was filming the rain falling across the paddocks, Mr Bloink decided to do a “nudie run” through the rain wearing nothing but his hat.
Ms Coleman said she had not planned to film her partners streak.
“I was outside filming it to send to my parents at Collarenebri where it's really really dry … he just flew past in the buff,” she said.
Ms Coleman said she never intended on sharing the video “with the world”, but after a friend of hers re-shared the video it went viral and within 48 hours it had received 1.7 million views and shared 35,000 times.
“I was not expecting it at all, it was a complete surprise,” she said.
“Its about putting a smile on peoples faces.”

The couple were special guests on Channel 7s Sunrise program on Monday morning to talk about the video and the rain.
Mr Bloink said during the appearancethat it was a spur of the moment decision to do a “nudie run” in the rain.
“The bride, she was filming the rain, she was sending the video to her mother and father … she was filming that to show there was hope at the end of the tunnel,” he said.

“While she was doing that I thought Id just do a bit of a nudie run like I used to do back in my younger days.
“We must have been under a big storm, because it was actually hailing when I did my nudie run, it wasnt the smartest thing Ive ever done.”
Ms Coleman said she had no qualms about sharing the video on her Facebook page.
“For an almost 48-year-old hes got a pretty hot butt and I thought why not share it with the world,” she said.
While the 43mm of rain was very welcomed for the couple, Ms Coleman said even the growth of weeds would be good for their drought-stricken property.
“It might just bring the weeds up and give the sheep something to eat and it gives us hope,” she said.
“If we get some weeds up we'll be rejoicing.”
Data from the Bureau of Meteorologys rain gauge at Dubbo Airport shows no rain was received on Saturday while 20mm was recorded on Sunday.
