Summer in Coronation Street is going to see wedding fever hit Weatherfield as three men on the cobbles pop the question to the women in their lives. So far, it has been confirmed that Daniel Osbourne and Sinead Tinker will get engaged, followed closely by Tracy Barlow and Steve McDonald after the latter haplessly goes too far while reassuring his girlfriend of his feelings.
And the next couple who could be heading up the aisle is David Platt and Shona Ramsey as he asks for her hand in marriage – but will she say yes? Advanced spoiler snippets for TV listings have revealed that Davids proposal shocks Shona but they dont confirm whether or not the couple get engaged.
They have been through a lot this year. After David was raped by evil Josh Tucker, he dumped Shona and spiralled out of control but she stuck by him from afar and then he felt brave enough to open up to her about what he had been through.

Together, they stood strong and reported Josh to the police and while he wasnt charged, David is now determined to get his life back on track and that means keeping Shona in his life and making a commitment to her.
Its clear the love between Shona and David is the real deal but are they ready for marriage? Or do they need to take things slowly after everything that has happened?
A subsequent spoiler reveals that Shonas response is lukewarm – so perhaps there wont be wedding bells as soon as David is hoping.
