AFL chief Gillon McLachlan concedes it "pisses me off" when there are errors with the league's contentious score review system, but claims calls to get rid of it altogether are "ridiculous".
The system has come under fire in recent weeks, with premiership coach Damien Hardwick labelling it an "embarrassment" last month, while a controversial goal paid to Essendon's Jake Stringer on the weekend – despite evidence to the contrary – further fuelled discussion about the system's merits.

McLachlan told SEN on Wednesday that he was angered when mistakes were made.
"It pisses me off when there's mistakes," McLachlan said.
"To have score review mistakes is unacceptable."

But he slammed calls to eliminate the use of technology.
"I think it's a ridiculous notion to get rid of it," he said, while acknowledging there was merit in discussing whether a brushed finger on the ball off the boot, the case in the Stringer incident, should be adjudicated as part of the system.
"It's not 'scrap the whole thing'," he said.
"It's 'do we actually finesse it a bit or tone it down and stop trying to solve stuff which is too hard to do, like a touch from 50 metres, so we'll limit its purview?'
"If you did that, then that's a fair conversation. Getting rid of it is not."
