Its hard to imagine BTS without J-Hope, RM, Suga, Jimin, Jin, V or Jungkook.

But the line-up of the K-pop band was almost very different.

On the bands YouTube Red series Burn The Stage, J-Hope revealed that he almost didnt debut with BTS, but returned when RM convinced their agency Big Hit Entertainment that they couldnt do it without him.

Speaking on the show, J-Hope, real name Jung Ho-seok, reflected on Jungkook crying when he told him he was leaving the band.

He said: I remember how Jungkook cried when I decided to leave, with Jimin adding: You said youre leaving and hugged Jungkook and cried together.

And J-Hope may have never returned, where it not for group leader RM.

RM, real name Kim Nam-joon, said: We wouldnt have made it if you left. I can say this now, but I talked to the guys. I told them we needed Jung Ho-seok.

We need Jung Ho-seok, we cant make it without him. I tried really hard to convince them.

I dont want to think what would have happened without them.

And the boys were the reason J-Hope returned to what would become K-pops biggest boyband.

The 24-year-old said: I came back because I trusted you guys. We worked together for a long time… its because the members were there.
