Dave Grohl and daughter sang Adeles When We Were Young, and yes, its very wholesome
Prepare to have your heart melted.
Dave Grohl – he of Nirvana and Foo Fighters fame – further proved over the weekend that musical talent runs deep in his family after he invited his 12-year-old daughter Violet on stage to perform an Adele cover.
Taking to the stage at the Notes & Words benefit show – which raised funds for the UCSF Benioff Childrens Hospital in California – Grohls acoustic set included a duet with Violet on the 25 track When We Were Young.
Violet took lead vocals as Grohl proudly strummed on a guitar alongside her, and its fair to say that she smashed the cover out of the park.
That wasnt the only bit of Dad-and-daughter gigging action, though: Grohl then invited his younger daughter Harper on stage to play drums as he performed the 2017 Foos track The Sky Is A Neighborhood.
And a fitting finale was delivered as both Violet and Harper later joined their dad for a Queen cover to close the set – the classic We Will Rock You being the song of choice, of course.

A family affair, then – but its not the first time that the two girls have emulated their father.
Having both starred in the Foos video for the aforementioned The Sky Is A Neighborhood, Harper went a step further by joining her dads band on stage in front of 20,000 people during a gig in Iceland back in June 2017.
