The Daily Mails furious with the Lords and everyones making the same point

The Daily Mail isnt happy with the House of Lords after it delivered yet another Brexit defeat on Theresa Mays government.

How unhappy is it? This much…

But it occurred to people – hard to believe we know – that the Mail hasnt always been so opposed to the Lords.

For instance, this is what the Mail said when the Lords defeated Labours proposals to repeal Section 28 back in 2000.

And heres what it said when Nick Cleggs Lib Dems tried to push through Lords reform as part of the coalition government back in 2012.

And on the same topic …

Hence there were lots of people saying things like this about todays front page.

1.

This must be a different Daily Mail to the one that called Lords reform "irrelevant and dangerous" in 2012. pic.twitter.com/ur2uffVXsu

Daily Mail when the Lords are being homophobic bellends:

Glorious contrast between tonights Mail splash (calling for Lords reform) and a Mail editorial from 2012 (arguing against Lords reform)

Daily Mail going full psycho on the Lords today having campaigned for no reform in 2012. Proof that Brexit really does drive you mad

And its not just the Mail that was accused of hypocrisy. Try this lot on for size …

Jacob Rees-Mogg
David Davis
Steve Baker
Philip Davies
Nadine Dorries
John Redwood
Bernard Jenkin
Bill Cash
