The Price Of Everything To Kick Off Greenwich Film Festival; Mapplethorpe Set As Provincetown Film Festival Closer

Nathaniel Kahns art world documentary The Price of Everything is set as the opening-night film at the fourth annual Greenwich Film Festival, which this year runs May 31-June 3 in Greenwich, CN. The film about the intersection of art and commerce will kick off a lineup of narrative, documentary and short films announced today, as well as panels and tributes that include recipients James Ivory, Tony Goldwyn and Ashley Judd, the latter of whom will be honored at the fests Changemaker Award Gala on May 31. The fests Social Impact Awards will feature a jury led by Ryan Eggold, and a performance by Lauryn Hill will highlight the opening-night party June 1. For the full lineup of films click here.

Provincetown Film Festival

Ondi Timoners Mapplethorpestarring Matt Smith has been set as the closing-night film at the 20th annual Provincetown Film Festival, which this year features a Spotlight lineup of films entirely directed by women. The fest, which runs June 13-17 in Provincetown, MA, will also honor director Sean Baker with the Filmmaker on the Edge Award and Chloe Grace Moretz with the Next Wave Award; Bakers Tangerine and Moretzs Sundance winner The Miseducation of Cameron Post are both screening at the fest. Madeleine Olneks Wild Nights With Emily starring Molly Shannon as Emily Dickinson kicks off the fest June 13. The full lineup unveiled today is here.
