The Overtones cancel tour after unexplained death of bandmate Timmy Matley
The Overtones have cancelled their tour after the unexplained death of bandmate Timmy Matley.
After much careful consideration we have decided to cancel our summer tour dates. Not only do we feel that we need some time to process the loss of our friend, brother and band mate, we also want to take some time to re-group and come back later on this year with new music and more live dates, the group said on its Facebook page.
They added: This is absolutely not the end of The Overtones, we just want to make sure everything we do next is a celebration of love, friendship and good times that will both comfort and uplift you, not only as a tribute to our dear friend Timmy, but also as a tribute to the amazing eight years we spent together as a band and the memories we have made and shared with you all.
