Solo: A Star Wars Story Trailer: A New Look At The Early Days Of The Space Smuggler With Swag

“I have a really good feeling about this,” says Alden Ehrenreich as the titular space smuggler in the newest trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story. The new look at the Star Wars spin-off comes in the wake of the announcement that it will make its global premiere at Cannes on May 25 — news that Deadline broke last week.

As opposed to the first teaser, the new trailer gives us more to chew on when it comes to the story. Of course, it gives us the space swag of Han Solo in the early days of his smuggling career, but it also gives us more of the other characters played by Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Paul Bettany, Thandie Newton, and, of course, Donald Glover who plays fan-favorite Lando Calrissian.

Giving off some Western vibes, it feels like Solo is clearly going to be a heist film. This is tipped off when Harrelsons character says his putting a team together to pull a fast one on some rich dude with a scarred face played by Bettany. From there, we see snippets of signature Star Wars action, set pieces, and a first look at some new characters — one of them being Bettanys villain and a smart-mouthed droid played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. We also learn Chewbaccas age!

Ron Howard directs Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are the producers. Lawrence Kasdan, Jason McGatlin, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller serve as executive producers. Jonathan Kasdan & Lawrence Kasdan wrote the screenplay.
