Junior Cricket Grand Final | Photos
Many young cricketers headed to the field today for the Nyngan Junior Cricket Grand Final, wrapping up a great season of cricket.
It was a fantastic day with all four teams playing exceptionally well.
The Redbacks took on the Bushrangers playing a very close game. However the Devils took out the title playing against the Bulls.
Guests of the day were Cameron Bourke and Jackson Hedges who presented all the kids their awards and prizes.
Best and Fairest went to Col-Rob Piper and Most Improved award went to Connor Burley.
Roy Herbert took out the award for most runs on 338, with Col-Rob Piper and Rory Quiamby coming in a close second and third.
Most Wickets went to Cooper Black with 12, Dan Kennedy was a very close second with 11 and Tyson Stapleton, Rory Quamby an Shane Rose tied in third with 9.
Encouragement Awards went to Zane Bailey, Matty Lynch, Claire Piper, Joe Kennedy, Hunter Carter and Jasmine Burke.
Lastly Man of the Match for this year’s Grand Final was Archie Black.
Rod and Lisa Herbert thanked everyone for a fantastic season and including Sonia Black who allowed all children to take home a cricket ball, and all their sponsors including, Face Mining, Foodworks, the Aussie Hotel, Aspect, Nyngan Rural Agencies, Vance Bus Service and Herbert and Sons.
