Australias golden couple of country music are taking their national tour to Cobar later this month to promote their first ever album together.

Adam Eckersley from the Adam Eckersley Band and Brooke McClymont, from The McClymonts have won a gong of awards during their many years of performing.

Earlier this year they celebrated their debut album Adam and Brooke, which hit the number one spot on the ARIA Country Album Chart.

The five-month long Highway Sky Tour will take the duo across Australia and theyll be taking some of the brightest emerging talent with them.

The 2018 Toyota Star Maker winner, Brad Cox will support on the majority of newly announced shows with Imogen Clark, Melanie Dyer, Tori Forsyth, Andrew Thomson, Blake OConnor and Brad Butcher supporting on various dates for the rest of the tour.

Adam is no stranger to western NSW, having lived in Cobar previously.

“I try and get back to play there every year,” he said.

“Ive still got a few friends at Cobar.”

Having lived in a rural town, Adam said it was crucial to both him and Brooke to get there and perform at the smaller venues.

“Its important to play for a regional audience, theres not always a lot of stuff going through those smaller towns,” he said.

Adam said the tour, which commenced at the end of May, has been so easy for the couple, who also have their daughter and parents travelling with them.

“The shows have been amazing and were making brand new fans along the way,” Brooke said.

They duo will perform on Saturday, June 23 at Cobar, with support from Brad Cox at the Cobar Bowling and Golf Club.

Audiences can expect to hear the entire collection of songs from the Adam and Brooke album, as well as some cover songs and songs from each of their bands.

They described the shows as a whole lot of fun, and they even interact with the audience.

“People like to get a background behind the songs,” Adam said.

After the tour finishes in July, Adam and Brooke will each go back to performing with the respective bands.

“Two weeks after Adam and I wrap up this tour Ill get straight back into it with The McClymonts,” Brooke said.

“And Ill go back to performing with the Adam Eckersley Band,” Adam said.

But fans have no need to worry, Adam and Brooke both said at some stage they will tour together again, although it may not be for another couple of years so they encouraged everyone to grab their tickets now.

“Its a show not to be missed,” Brooke said.
