Coronation Street newcomer Josh has already been proven to have a sinister and deplorable side as fans know by now that he is set to drug and rape David Platt, a man who believes he is his friend. But in dark scenes ahead, Lee Mayhew might see his violent side emerge as he makes a deadly threat.

Up until now, Josh has seemed every inch the decent guy – he has taken on the mechanic job and threw himself immediately into planning a charity boxing match in memory of the late Luke Britton. In his own time, he also helped David to train and the pair have built a friendship.

Lee is back on the street as Billy has reached out to his drug addict brother for substances to help take the edge off his pain. As Billy’s addiction grows, Lee exploits this but then refuses to help when Billy doesn’t allow him a place to stay.

Meanwhile Sarah, who was previously taken hostage by an unstable Lee, spots him on the Street and warns her brother David – who decides to take action to frighten Lee away. With Josh’s help, David bundles Lee into the back of a van and confronts him, warning him to stay away.

After David is out of the way, though, Josh goes one step further and brandishes a tyre iron at him, making a dark threat and giving viewers the first real insight into his volatile and violent nature.

And while Lee is left fearing he could be killed, David is in for an ordeal that will change his life as Corrie kicks off one of its toughest ever storylines.
