Han Solo movie trailer ‘to finally drop during Super Bowl’
It looks like we may well get that Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer very, very soon.
Fans are a bit up in arms that with such a short amount of time before the new movie is due for release – about four months – that we haven’t yet been given a juicy trailer to whet our appetites. Especially as it was teased for a 15 January release that never came to fruition.
Patience, dear friends. There is merely a few days to wait.
Word has it that the trailer will be dropping on 4 February during the Super Bowl, which is the famous stage for many a huge movie trailer.
Disney have yet to confirm or deny this rumour, but insiders have reportedly claimed that they were waiting for The Last Jedi’s run in cinemas to finish, as it was only released in mid December. The Super Bowl’s ad breaks are the most globally watched ad breaks, garnering roughly 100 million viewers world wide, and therefore perfect for the big debut.
Although, given that we were meant to have the trailer before now, skeptics aren’t convinced.

The movie suffered a pretty major setback when directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller were fired and replaced by Ron Howard – and it was even rumoured that an acting coach had to be brought in to teach Alden Ehrenreich some tips mid-filming.
But setbacks aside, it’s the next Star Wars movie to add to the collection and seeing as we were cheated from seeing Han Solo in The Last Jedi, it’s a given that this is going to be a popular choice for cinemagoers.
Solo will focus on a younger version of the character brought to life by Harrison Ford in the Star Wars films. Han and Chewbacca will be seen first meeting Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover) and they will also encounter Woody Harrelson’s alter-ego Beckett, who is believed to be a mentor to young Han who guides him on his journey to becoming a space smuggler.
Solo: A Star Wars Story is slated for a 25 May release.
