Coronation Street spoilers: Anna Windass’ devastating final scenes air as Debbie Rush exits after 10 years
Coronation Street fans have been forced to say a devastating goodbye to Anna Windass as evil Pat Phelan has secured another victory against his many enemies. For a while, Anna had hoped that the trial was going her way when Seb Franklin took the stand to reveal that Phelan was setting her up.
But when Eileen discovered CCTV footage of Tim and Gary bundling Seb into the back of a cab to persuade him to change his testimony, Tim was forced to come clean on the stand that he and Gary had out pressure on the youngster to change his plea.
The jury were not deliberating for long and Phelan was present to gloat as Anna was found guilty of GBH and sent down. She screamed in agony as she threw accusations at Phelan but he stood calmly and pointed out that the verdict was unanimous.
As Anna now faces years in prison, Faye is broken and Seb is in hiding while Phelan is smug that he was gotten away with what he has done. But can anyone wipe the smirk from his face?
The storyline marks a sad end to Debbie Rush’s 10 years in Coronation Street after years of dramatic storylines that have included her adoption of Faye, being set on fire after a car explosion and, of course, the long running feud with sinister Phelan.
And while Debbie is heading off excitedly to pastures new, the future is not looking so bright for her alter ego.
