Coronation Street fans have dared to hope that the end has come for villain Pat Phelan as Seb Franklin has revealed the truth about him in court, leading to the crooked builder hurriedly packing a bag and preparing to flee before the police come for him.
Meanwhile, Eileen has struggled to get her head around the truth and apologised to Anna Windass, who warned her that this is just scratching beneath the surface of everything that Phelan has done over the years.
After being convinced by Gary, brave Seb took the stand and told the courtroom that he didn’t push Anna – and Phelan had made him say that she did. As Eileen walked out in shock, Phelan seethed and after the court emptied, Gary goaded Phelan and warned him that once the police come for him over the perjury, they would find out all of his other dastardly secrets.
For once seeming every bit out of control of the situation, a desperate Phelan crammed his belongings into a bag and prepared to depart.
But could the tables be set to turn once again? As Anna’s trial continues, Eileen will discover CCTV footage of Gary and Tim seemingly attacking Seb and Tim will be forced to admit under oath that he and Gary made Seb change his story.
Will this once more turn the case against Anna and give Phelan a get out of jail free card? Or have too many doubts already been placed for anyone to ever believe another word that Phelan says?
