Mark Wahlberg ‘negotiated All The Money In The World reshoot fee’ despite co-stars doing it for free
Michelle Williams was reportedly paid less than a tenth of Mark Wahlberg for the last-minute reshoot to All The Money In The World.
Just a day after many in Hollywood stood together and called for gender equality, it was claimed that Mark’s agents negotiated him a $1.5 million fee (£1.1 million) for returning to Europe over Thanksgiving weekend to reshoot the film and replace the disgraced actor Kevin Spacey, who had been accused of sexual harassment and assault of young teenage boys.
Michelle was thought to have been paid an $80 (£59) per diem which totaled less than $1,000 (£739).
Director Ridley Scott’s decision to recast Spacey’s role with Christopher Plummer transfixed the film world as it saw Scott film much of the film again in just weeks, and make the previously set Christmas release window.

The director had previously confirmed to USA Today that both he and Michelle took no fee, confirming in December that ‘the whole reshoot was, in normal terms, was expensive but not as expensive as you think. Because all of them, everyone did it for nothing’.
He later went on: ‘No, they all came in free. Christopher had to get paid. But Michelle, no. Me, no. I wouldn’t do that to…’
There was never any mention of Mark but it is not known Ridley knew about Mark’s negotiated salary; it is claimed that Michelle did not.
‘I said I’d be wherever they needed me, whenever they needed me,’ Michelle said after the reshoots of the decision to remove Spacey and replace him with Christopher Plummer.
‘And they could have my salary, they could have my holiday, whatever they wanted. Because I appreciated so much that they were making this massive effort.’
Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Mark for comment.
Spacey was cut from the film in the wake of mounting sexual harassment claims.
The 58-year-old actor was faced with allegations of sexual assault from many men, including Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp, who was the first to make accusations.
Later, others came forward including Heather Unrah, who in a press conference claimed Spacey grabbed her 18-year-old son’s genitals inside a bar on Nantucket Island.
