Charlton V Oldham at The Valley : Match Preview

Charlton without Jason Pearce

Defender Jason Pearce will be absent for Charlton's Sky Bet League One clash against Oldham.

The 30-year-old was expected to return this weekend following a knee injury but has suffered a setback and will be out of action for the next fortnight.

Naby Sarr and Harry Lennon may need resting, while Chris Solly, Tariqe Fosu and Billy Clarke all remain sidelined.

The Addicks are without a victory from their last eight league outings.

Patrick McEleney could make his Oldham debut at The Valley.

The ex-Dundalk forward, who has not played for six weeks, completed his switch this month and Latics are bidding to ensure his registration documents are completed in time to allow him to play.

Jack Byrne and Kean Bryan will both have to come out of Richie Wellens' starting line-up having returned to their parent clubs from loan spells.

Queensy Menig may not feature as Wellens is hoping to cut short his loan deal while Peter Clarke has been borrowed by Bury.
