Jurgen Klopp provides negative injury news for Liverpool’s New Year clashes
Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Jordan Henderson and Alberto Moreno will miss Liverpool‘s fixtures over the New Year as they failed to step up their injury comebacks.
The Reds have been enjoying a purple patch in form but Klopp will be feeling blue at the latest update that the pair will fail to get the green light to face Leicester and Burnley over the next week.
Klopp will be without both Henderson and Moreno for the clashes with the Foxes and the Clarets, and he admitted that he has ‘no idea’ when they will be pulling on the famous red jersey again.
‘Length of time [on their returns], actually I have no idea to be honest – but it won’t be tomorrow,’ he said after Liverpool’s 5-0 win over Swansea.

‘Both are out for the next two games for sure.
‘On December 30 and January 1, they have no chance, then we have to see again.’
Henderson picked up a hamstring injury early on in the vibrant 3-3 draw with Arsenal, while Moreno has not featured since picking up an ankle problem during the 7-0 thrashing of Spartak Moscow at the start of this month.
The pair have joined the likes of Nathaniel Clyne and Marko Grujic with a black mark against their names as Liverpool look to have a golden bill of health sooner rather than later.
