Tattoos can be mega beautiful and chic but if you’re the kinda guy who can’t decide what to have for lunch let alone what art to etch into your body forever, they’re not for you.
But that doesn’t mean you have to miss out entirely.
Because one fashion line has started designing tattoo-inspired garments that will transform to make you look like a proper badass.
Tattoosweaters is the brainchild of costume designer and fashion editor Anna Osmekhina, and ‘sees clothing as the second sin and tattoos as the only true way to decorate it’.
Every year, Tattoosweaters releases a line of basic garms (dresses, underwear, sweaters, etc.) which is then decorated with designs from world-acclaimed tattoo artists.
The designs are silkscreened by hand on fabrics sourced from Japan, Italy and Poland, and the art is done by artists found through Instagram.
And the collections are mad popular.
Tattoosweaters’ first collection was sold in Colette and sold out within a week and now the label is sold in Japan, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Italy and France.
Surely it’s only a matter of time before it comes to the UK by way of Dover Street Market soon?
Prices range from €70 (£61) for a top to €195 (£172) for a long hoodie…so they’re cheaper than actual tattoos of the same size and quality.
