If you’ve been living under a rock for the past month, you may have missed the fact that bubble jackets are back.

Winter might be on the way out (that’s the rumour, at least), but it’s never been more chic to look as though you’re wearing your duvet out and about.

At Paris Fashion Week, the catwalks were absolutely drenched in oversized outerwear, from Balenciaga’s gigantic dad-esque anoraks to Givenchy’s massive cashmere capes.

But as we all know, the vast majority of the items found in fashion shows are completely un-workable in real life.

As Instagram is proving.

Two genius Photoshoppers have been doctoring images of fashion influencers to put them in this season’s most ridiculous trends: oversized jackets and fugly trainers.

@itsmaysmemes is an account almost exclusively dedicated to ridiculous outerwear, running with the tagline: ‘Giant jackets are the new wave’.

Meanwhile, @luxormotor is a connoisseur of outlandish footwear. Because, let’s face it, regardless of whether they’re Balenciaga, Yeezy or Nike, everyone’s had enough of seeing oversized, over-laced, over-platformed sneakers.
