More than 12 teams and 41 participants have already registered for the 2018 Orana Relay for Life.
While participants can sign up all the way up until the relay on October 20, those interested in taking part are encouraged to register now to take advantage of the early bird discount.
Those who register before Sunday, August 26 will pay $15 for registration, saving 25 per cent on normal sign up prices.
Cancer Council representative Katherine Bodiczky said the event recognised, encouraged and supported all of the lives impacted by cancer.
“The spirit that brings people from all walks of life is really remarkable, it extends from Dubbo far out into the Orana region. It is a great opportunity to have a family day out filled with plenty of activities, entertainment and great fun,” she said.
Money raised from the Relay for Life will go to local support programs for cancer patients, survivors and their carers, while also helping the roll out of prevention programs aimed at beating cancer.
The Orana Relay for Life information night will be held on Tuesday, September 4 at the Commercial Hotel from 6pm. The Cancer Council Orange office can also help answer questions on 6392 0800.
