Influencer faced eviction from apartment over emotional support duck
An influencer faced being evicted from his apartment after he got an emotional support duck to help with his anxiety.
Vayne Myers, a 26-year-old influencer, said his duck, Primadonna, helps him cope with anxiety he has suffered all his life after he was abused as a child.
He told the New York Times: Whenever I felt like I didnt matter in the world, Primadonna would comfort him and remind him that something does love you.
I take him in the shower, in the bath, and outside. He follows me wherever I go.
However, Myers and Primadonna were nearly kicked out of their apartment in Tampa, Florida after Myerss landlord discovered the duck, who wears a diaper indoors.
Myers said Primadonna stays in a private yard, unbeknownst to his neighbors, but was found by the landlord during a maintenance visit.

The landlord, who charges a fee for tenants who keep cats, told Myers that ducks were not allowed. He demanded proof that the bird was a emotional support animal prescribed by a doctor.

Myers gave the landlord a letter from his therapist and another from a counselor, but the landlord was not satisfied.
