Cardi B trumps Nicki Minaj with five Grammys 2019 nominations after year of nasty feuding
Its been a tough week for Cardi B following her split from husband Offset, but the Grammys 2019 nominations have given her something to celebrate.
The Bodak Yellow rapper is ending the week on a high after earning five Grammy nominations this year, including album of the year for her debut record Invasion of Privacy, record of the year for I Like It, best pop duo/group performance for Girls Like You with Maroon 5, best rap performance for Be Careful and best rap album.
Cardis triumph will no doubt be a slap in the face for her rap rival Nicki Minaj, who failed to receive a single nomination despite releasing her latest album Queen in September.
Reacting to Nickis snub, one fan commented on Twitter: Congrats to Cardi b but what they did to Nicki is bizarre, while another weighed in: Thats wild Cardi B. The only female rapper nominated this year. I remember Nicki won every around for like 8 years and now.

Nicki, 35, and Cardi, 26, have been locked in a nasty feud this year which escalated at New York Fashion Week in September when the pair got into a physical altercation at a party. The pair then traded insults at each other on Instagram but decided to bury the feud
Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, will be hoping to finally take a gramophone home after receiving two nominations at the Grammys 2018 for best rap performance and best rap song, but failing to win one.
No doubt the Grammy nominations have lifted Cardis spirits after the rapper announced her split from her husband Offset this week.
In an Instagram video, the Bartier Cardi rapper revealed she and the Migos star had grown out of love and would be getting a divorced just over a year after tying the knot.

Reports have since emerged that Offset cheated on Cardi with another woman, Summer Bunni, who featured in a Nicki Minaj video earlier this year.
