express– Earlier this year ABBA released their ninth studio album, Voyage, much to the delight of their fans. The record is the first album they have released in 40 years, following their 1981 venture The Visitors. Voyage marks a triumphant comeback for the Swedish band, and although their dedicated listeners were excited to see how the record shaped up, the reviews were not very favourable.
This morning Anni-Frid spoke candidly with Zoe on BBC Radio 2 about the legacy of ABBA, and how she would want to be remembered.
She mused: “I want the band to be remembered like a band who made people feel something in their hearts when they listen to our music.
“I want to be remembered as a member of a band who gave them comfort, who gave them happiness. We were there for them we did it for them – and for ourselves also, of course.”
Anni-Frid could not resist hitting out at some of the critics who branded her new album “naff”.
