Anti-lockdown protesters will be ‘chased by the law’

skynews– Deputy Commissioner Mal Lanyon says people involved in Saturday’s protest will be “chased by the law” to the “full extent of the law”

“For these self-entitled people to think that they could have a protest today, think that they could assault police, think that they could do the types of things they have done today is completely unacceptable to us,” Mr Lanyon said.

Deputy Commissioner Lanyon said police had been “overwhelmed” by the community response to the protests with a flood of social media footage showing the “persons that are responsible for these offenses”.

Deputy Commissioner Lanyon implored members of the public who had footage of the protests to contact Crime Stoppers.
