skynews– Australia’s vaccination program so far is “not a disaster” despite the “song and dance” being made about the prime minister’s promise to vaccinate four million people by the end of March, says infectious diseases expert Peter Collignon. “People are making a big song and dance about ‘oh look, we’re supposed to have four million doses of the vaccine – the AstraZeneca mainly I might say – before the end of march and that didn’t happen,” Professor Collignon said. “But the real reason is Europe didn’t let three million doses go out and it’s only now that we’re producing it in Australia really in any numbers. That is not a disaster. “We have got the opportunity to vaccinate the six or seven million people who are most at risk if something goes wrong before winter starts.”
