skynews– US President Joe Biden has announced he expects to run for re-election in 2024 during the first press conference of his presidency. The president had received criticism from across the political spectrum over a lack of transparency when it comes to the press and went 64 days without holding a news conference. Mr Biden answered questions from media on the pandemic, gun violence and the migrant situation at the US border. The president also doubled the vaccination target to be reached by the end of his first 100 days in office to 200 million doses. Mr Biden made a gaffe while being grilled about filibusters – appearing confused about how long he had been in the Senate. “With regard to the filibuster, I believe we should go back to the position of the filibuster that existed just when I came to the United States Senate 120 years ago,” he said.
