Tehan writes to Chinese counterpart in attempt to end China trade dispute
skynews– Trade Minister Dan Tehan has written to his Chinese counterpart in a bid to end a trade dispute between the two nations. Beijing has hit Australia with tariffs on wine and barley, and blocked some exports of lobster, beef and timber. There have also been 60 ships carrying Australian coking coal stranded off the Chinese coast due to an informal ban imposed by authorities. Mr Tehan hopes China’s new commerce minister might offer an opportunity to re-establish communication.
