Adavale Resource granted Kabanga North and North East nickel tenements in Tanzania

Adavale Resources Ltd (ASX:ADD) has been granted the Kabanga North and North East nickel tenements in Tanzania, covering around 400 square kilometres and adjoining the Kabanga Nickel Project.

Applications for the tenements, previously held by BHP Group Ltd (ASX:BHP), were submitted on January 9 with Tanzania's Ministry of Minerals and Mining Commission officially granting them on March 3.

These tenements are in a highly prospective high-grade nickel region hosting the Kabanga project, which has one of the world's largest undeveloped high-grade nickel sulphide resources of 58 million tonnes at 2.62% nickel.

Chairman Louis Clinton said: “We are excited with the new Kabanga nickel tenements being successfully granted, as it significantly increases the potential of the project and creates a significant opportunity for the company.

“Adavales board and management intends to work closely with the team on the ground to assess the high-priority targets.”

Low-risk sulphide metallurgy[hhmc]

The Kabanga Nickel Project has demonstrated an easily floated sulphide ore and approximately 70% of the resource is in measured and indicated categories.

Data suggests that the quality of the mineralisation is exceptional with low-risk sulphide metallurgy producing low impurity nickel.
