Galena Mining strengthens board with appointment of Stewart Howe as non-executive director

Galena Mining Ltd (ASX:G1A) has appointed mining and chemical engineer Stewart Howe as a non-executive director.

Howe has considerable senior management experience in the global lead-zinc industry.

The appointment has been made as part of the companys continuing evolution to ensure the best available skills are employed as the Abra Base Metals Project in WA moves through the development phase and into production.

Chairman Adrian Byass said: “Stewart has unique experience in the lead/zinc industry including knowledge of customers, smelting industry dynamics and strategic counterparts.

“We believe those capabilities round out our boards experience as Abra continues construction and moves into production.”

Previous experience

Howe's experience includes six years as Zinifex Limited chief development officer, which at the time was one of the worlds largest miners and smelters of lead-zinc with assets on three continents.
