Northern Minerals intersects near-surface high-grade rare earths at Dazzler prospect

Northern Minerals Ltd (ASX:NTU) has confirmed further high-grade results from the recently completed infill and step-out reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Dazzler prospect, part of the Browns Range Project in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia.

Assay results have been received for the first 12 of the 51 drill holes completed at Dazzler in September.

Significant assay results from the first 12 drill holes (TREO = Total Rare Earth Oxides; HREO = Heavy Rare Earth Oxides; HREO % = HREO / TREO * 100)

NTUs drilling program focused on the area of the scree slope below the scarp where previous drilling was undertaken.

The drilling program was designed to step-out to the north of the previous drilling in order to update the existing resource.

These results are highly significant as many of the intercepts occur at or near the surface, increasing the potential for a low operating cost operation.

The results will be used to update the resource estimate which will be completed in January 2020.

Plan view of the Dazzler deposit

NTUs Dazzler deposit is located less than 15 kilometres from the Browns Range Pilot Plant on the edge of a small scarp slope.

The maiden inferred resource for the Dazzler deposit has been estimated at 144,000 tonnes at 2.23% TREO comprising 3,200,000 kilograms TREO using a cut-off grade of 0.15% TREO.
