Anson Resources to advance bromine test work after latest results

Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN) has completed the first stage of test work recovering bromine from brine sourced from its Paradox Brine Project in the US state of Utah.

The test work consisted of the oxidation of the brine using chlorine gas to convert the dissolved bromide ions into bromine liquid, which was successful.

Stage II pilot plant test work will now commence at De Dietrich premises in Germany later this month.

The pilot plant for this test work has already been constructed and minor modifications will be made to it after the review of this test work.

Pilot plant to use Kubierschky Process

The pilot plant will use the well-known and understood Kubierschky Process for the extraction and recovery of bromine from Ansons Paradox brine.

The results of the pilot plant test work are expected in December and will include capex and opex estimates.

This data will be incorporated into the preliminary economic assessment (PEA) or pre-feasibility study (PFS) that Anson plans to commence before the end of the year.

A sample will also be produced for potential customers

A bromine product sample will also be produced as part of the test work.

Anson intends to offer this sample to potential investors and offtake partners for their consideration.
