Chase Mining intersects wide massive sulphide zones at Alotta Nickel-Copper Project in Canada

Chase Mining Corporation Ltd (ASX:CML) has observed wide massive sulphide zones in its initial diamond drill hole of a new program at the high-grade Alotta Nickel-Copper Project in Canada.

The first hole, ZA-19-03, was completed at 102 metres with 41 metres of visually logged massive and net textured sulphide mineralisation intersected in a mostly mineralised zone from 32 metres downhole.

Biggest to date

This mineralised intercept is the biggest downhole mineralised intercept to date at Alotta with a second zone of massive sulphides of 1.2 metres also intersected from 86.6 metres.

The hole is part of five or six-hole program of 600 to 700 metres that began at the weekend targeting extensions to known mineralisation within the nickel-copper wireframe.

This is also testing the interpreted Alotta Deeps position, a shallow DHEM plate and the potential WNW extension of the main mineralised zone.

Similar visual characteristics

Uncut core and widths of mineralisation show similar visual characteristics and tenor as previously reported for the Alotta high-grade nickel-copper-PGE-cobalt mineralisation.

The core has yet to be routinely photographed, geologically logged, cut and sampled.

Massive sulphide – pyrrhotite-pyrite-chalcopyrite – in a quartz breccia at 52 metres downhole in ZA-19-03.

However, from the quick log, including rock type and mineralisation, the hole intersected massive sulphides and net-textured sulphides from 32 metres to 73 metres downhole.
