Jindalee Resources intersects thickest and highest lithium grades to date at McDermitt

Jindalee Resources Ltd (ASX:JRL) has intersected the thickest and highest lithium grades to date at the McDermitt Lithium Project in Nevada, USA.

These results from hole MDD-006 have confirmed lithium mineralisation over the entire thickness of prospective stratigraphy in the project area's central part.

The latest intersections include:

  • 30 metres at 1967 ppm lithium, including 14 metres at 2673 ppm; and
  • 74 metres at 1481 ppm, including 18 metres at 2034 ppm.

These results demonstrate the continuity of lithium mineralisation already seen in adjacent holes and once again in multiple stacked layers with a significant higher-grade zone emerging.

If all intervals with lithium values more than 1,000ppm are included, the entire sedimentary section assays 151.05 metres at 1352ppm lithium.

Another key feature is a near-surface zone of higher-grade material across a large part of the project area where the thickness of sediments with grades in excess of 2200ppm are observed at shallow depths (a maximum of 78 metres below the surface).
